Share Ideas: TV Guide for 2014 Brazil World Cup 1 （Argentina)

This is my home-made TV Guide for 2014 Brazil World Cup. (JUN 16-JULY 14)

My favorite teams are Argentina, Portugal, Italy, Japan and USA(Right now, I am studying in state. Thus, I think I should support USA). I am gonna introduce all the games these team will face during the Group Stages and my forecasts to these matches.

Argentina

Characteristic

Advantage:
Strike groups
Traditionally, Argentina produced many famous striker and this team is no exception. Sergio Aguero ( Manchester City), Gonzalo Higuain( Naples), Ezequiel Lavezzi （PSG) and Messi consist of striker group which is recognized as the best front court.
Achiiles‘ heel:
Compare to the strikers groups, Argentina has a week defense players. Even though, Javier Mascherano and Pablo Zabaleta are excellent defenders who serve for big club like Barcelona and ManCity, their teammates seems could not deliver a solid defensive performance.

The strikers groups determine Argentina upper limit, however, the defense players determine the lower bound.

I love Argentina National soccer team since I was a child. I can list dozens of Argentina legends but right now everyone's eyes are all on Lionel Messi. With the landmark achievement of claiming four consecutive FIFA Ballon d'Ors (2009-2012), Lionel Messi has been named as Maradona's successor. However, I am very disappointed with his performance with a nation side, Argentina lost too many important games in last two World Cup. Every years fans witness his unparalleled performance as a Barcelona Player. Meanwhile, fans are continually frustrated by his dismal performance for his country. The overall strength and competitiveness of Argentina is not preeminent and his performance really determine how far Argentina could reach?

Formation:

4-3-3

I thought Lionel Messi highly possible could be used as attack midfield players because he need take more responsibility to building attack. Angel Di Maria will assist strikers if necessary, meanwhile, Banega need help Maraschino to prevent opponent's counter.
4-3-3 is best way to liberate Argentina's fancy strikers, but it is also a crucial test for the defenders.

Group Stage Matches

JUN16 Monday	Bosnia and Herzegovina	Bosnia might be the only challenge for Argentina, many players play for big European clubs including Edin Dzeko, Vedad Ibisevic.
JUN22 Sunday	Iran	No comment. The only thing I care about is how many goals Messi and his teammate could score.
JUN26 Thursday	Nigeria	Nigeria soccer is not as strong as a decade ago. However, Nigeria is still a young army with several soccer stars play for some England soccer club. They hardly could pose threat to Pampas eagle.
